Light and shadow pavilions

Online exhibition 2020 summer

The proposal of building pavilions to praise the light and shadow to celebrate the time.

The College of Architecture + Planning, the University of Utah has a course to design pavilions for Native Americans to understand the culture and create the beauty of light and shadow.

Process

1. The students research about Navajo culture.
2. The students create abstract watercolor arts based on the Navajo culture.
3. Students create abstract 3dimensional art objects based on the watercolors
4. The students design pavilions in four corners area based on the 3-dimensional art objects.
